Ohio State Lands LaQuinton Ross

Posted by CoHoops DeAnte Mitchell
Once Ohio State lost Evan Turner to the NBA draft, the Buckeye fan base craved a new edition of the 6-foot-7 star. His production, Big Ten Player and, National Player of the Year are something Ohio State wants to continue.

In the 2010 class, they may have the
opportunity to do that with Jared Sullinger. He is not National Player of the Year talent; however, he can strap up with the best of them. He is a complete center, and I suppose we'll see him on the Big Ten "All-Team" rosters.

However, with the notion that Ohio State will only
see that one year, they are only bringing in more talent.

6-foot-8 Laquinton Ross will join the Buckeyes 2011 recruiting class. According to ESPN and,
LaQuinton Ross verbally committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes' program in 2011-12. Ross is a higly-touted recruit with a lot of offers. He had offers from West Virginia, Syracuse and Butler to name a few.

He can
come in and bring his highly qualified scoring ability to a team that may be in need of it. The Buckeyes' are losing a lot of talent after this year; seniors and one-and-done players, not to mention, they will need to keep nabbing recruits to keep their fan base energized.
